What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Continuous Improvement position at ANGI (ALT Fuels)?
- Actively promote and drive the implementation of the Vontier Business System (VBS) tools and thinking across all Lean activities at ANGI Systems.
- Lead and Facilitate kaizen activities and events, ensure kaizens are effectively planned, well executed, and sustained, to improve Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery Performance.
- Partner with the Operations Leadership team to facilitate and implement VBS tools within manufacturing operations to drive productivity, lean conversion and sustainable progress.
- Promote and facilitate diagnosis of the flow of work and information to identify improvement priorities
- Promote Problem Solving Process (PSP) across the business; provide hands-on root cause analysis and problem solving to focus and direct improvement activities.
- Coach, mentor, & facilitate training for associates at all levels to develop VBS skills that will advance the site VBS culture to meet business performance requirements.
- Enhance VAVE / VBS funnels to deliver measurable improvements in operations and VAVE activities.
- Promote Management of Daily Improvements (MDI) activities to identify PSP opportunities
- Work with VP, Operations on management of Kaizen funnel to ensure continuous improvement activities are being driven in alignment with strategic objectives.
- Bachelor´s degree preferred
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing role focused on continuous process improvement and lean manufacturing.
- VBS or Lean Manufacturing Experience Required with Demonstrated “Hands On” Experience of implementing lean tools at Gemba – Standard work, SMED, 5S, Kanban, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping, Structured Problem Solving.
- Skilled at leading through influence and building followership with executive leadership, managers, and individual contributors.
- Skilled at adapting best practice to business/team specific challenges.
- Able to keep teams motivated and focused for trainings and kaizen events.
- Ability to create training programs and to lead training.
