What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Product Engineer position at Angle Health?
Changing Healthcare For Good
At Angle Health, we believe the healthcare system should be accessible, transparent, and easy to navigate. As a digital-first, data-driven health plan, we are replacing legacy systems with modern infrastructure to deliver our members the care they need when they need it. If you want to build the future of healthcare, we'd love for you to join us.
The Role
We’re looking for a product-minded engineer to join our elite team of problem solvers tackling some of the hardest challenges across the business. If you’re an engineer first, but you also have the desire, aptitude, and ability to engage in product thinking—this role is for you.
As a Technical Product Engineer, you’ll work directly with operational stakeholders to deeply understand business workflows and build hands-on technical solutions that drive critical business outcomes. This may involve optimizing or replacing existing processes, developing critical workflows from scratch, or architecting robust data pipelines and infrastructure.
Your role will look more like a startup CTO than a traditional PM—you’ll be embedded in small, highly autonomous teams of engineers, data scientists, and other Technical Product Engineers, owning the end-to-end execution of high-impact projects. You’ll have a direct impact on mission-critical functions, from business development to customer operations to finance, legal, compliance, and beyond. Expect to dive deep into engineering challenges while staying plugged into business goals and strategy.
This role is ideal for engineers who want to continue writing code while solving high-value business problems with a product-first mindset. This position is based in our NYC office.
What We Value
Because We Value You:
Angle Health is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer. We do not discriminate based upon race, religion, color, national origin, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics. Angle Health is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to applicants with physical and mental disabilities.

What We Value
- A deep technical background with a few years of experience in software engineering, data science, or a similar hands-on technical role.
- A highly analytical mindset and an eagerness to build technical solutions to complex business problems.
- Strong programming skills—proficiency in Python, SQL, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar.
- Experience with data analysis and manipulation to drive decision-making.
- Intellectual curiosity—you're not satisfied with surface-level answers and always want to dive into the “how” and “why.”
- Strong execution skills—you thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where outcomes matter more than process.
- Low ego—the best ideas win, regardless of where they come from.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You want to be a traditional product manager—this role is hands-on engineering, not just writing specs and running standups.
- You prefer working in highly structured environments with well-defined roadmaps and processes.
- You don’t enjoy writing code or building technical solutions.
- You don’t want to work in a high-ownership, high-autonomy role where you drive projects from end to end.
- You prefer to just write code or pick up tickets instead of scoping projects and requirements end to end
