What are the responsibilities and job description for the Peer Support Specialist position at AngleZ Behavioral Health Services?
AngleZ BHS is looking for a Peer Support to help support our clients! A peer support is an induvial with lived experience with mental health or substance use disorder, who supports our clients with the below.
- Coordinate and provide access to Peer Support Services, peer advocacy groups, and other peer-run or peer-centered services.
- Organize and facilitate ABHS consumer counsel group.
- Working closely with the Opioid Health Home team members.
- participate in the Peer advisory meeting to develop outreach to the community, identify gaps in peer services and training needs, and review the consumer advisory feedback and plan of action as an agency
- Assist members to meet treatment plan goals.
- Assist members with overcoming obstacles that arise while working on treatment plan goals.
- Documentation of time spend with members.
- Maintain and updated information on area peer services.
- Assist the member with identifying and developing natural support systems.

The Peer Support is an individual who is receiving or has received services and supports related to the diagnosis of a mental illness, is in recovery from that illness, and who is willing to self-identify on this basis with Behavioral Health Home members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
