We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher plays a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely delivery of loads , and maintaining effective communication between drivers and management. Duties
- Coordinate and schedule transportation routes for dirt delivery.
- Monitor vehicle locations using GPS and transportation management systems.
- Communicate with drivers to provide updates on schedules, routes, and any changes.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including data entry into systems such as SyteLine, Oracle Transportation Management, or AS400.
- Utilize GIS tools to optimize routing and improve efficiency.
- Address any issues or delays that arise during transit, providing solutions as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Proficiency in transportation management systems is essential; experience with Oracle Transportation Management is a plus.
- Familiarity with fleet management practices and freight operations.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Experience using GPS technology for tracking vehicle locations.
- Knowledge of GIS tools for route optimization is advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
