Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts Manager to oversee our parts department. Duties
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through effective inventory management practices, including regular audits and stock checks.
- Procure parts and supplies as needed, negotiating with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track parts usage, orders, and returns effectively.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving of parts, ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation.
- Collaborate with service technicians to identify parts needs for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Develop relationships with vendors to ensure a reliable supply chain for all necessary components.
- Provide training and support to staff on systems used for inventory management and order processing.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and systems relevant to automotive service or dealership environments.
- Proficient in supply chain management principles, with experience in shipping and receiving processes.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment and truck components is a plus, as well as experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, vendors, and customers.
