Staff Accountant

We are seeking a talented Staff Accountant in our Client Accounting and Advisory Solutions department with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. This role will involve working closely with government contractor clients, providing specialized accounting services, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare or assist clients with accounting transaction entry or clean up as well as preparing government contracting compliant invoices for FFP, T&M, and CPFF.
• Prepare and review financial statements and indirect cost rate calculations for government contractor clients.
• Assist clients in resolving accounting issues related to government contracts, including cost allowability and allocability.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality accounting solutions and exceed client expectations.
• Stay updated on changes in government contracting regulations and accounting standards and apply knowledge to client engagements.
• Deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.

Ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Experience in government contracting preferred, but not required.
• Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
• Experience with government contract accounting software (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Unanet) preferred, but not required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
