Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Leadership: Manage, motivate, and develop a team of bartenders and bar staff, ensuring excellent service and performance.
- Training & Development: Assess staff development needs and provide ongoing coaching and training to maintain high service standards.
- Operations Management: Oversee daily bar operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and cash control procedures.
- Quality & Service Standards: Set and monitor beverage preparation and service standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Customer Relations: Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Stock Management: Maintain inventory levels, monitor stock rotation, and work with suppliers to ensure bar is well-stocked and orders are accurate.
- Financial Oversight: Ensure adherence to cash handling, cost control, and stock control procedures to meet financial objectives.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are consistently met, in line with local regulations.
- Team Coordination: Organize staff rotations and schedules, ensuring appropriate staffing levels during peak and off-peak hours.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of bar management or beverage service operation experience, preferably in a high-volume setting.
- Certifications: Must hold current TABC and Food Handler certifications.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Beverage Knowledge: Solid understanding of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as mixing and presentation.
- Business Acumen: Knowledge of business management practices, including cost control, budgeting, and basic accounting procedures.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both staff and management.
- Tech Savvy: Experience with Aloha POS or similar systems is preferred.
- Flexibility: Available to work nights, weekends, and some late hours.
