Angove Partners is working with a global insurance company, seeking a Compliance Officer based in New York.
About this role:
This opportunity is on the Risk and Compliance team. You will learn and take on various roles to support business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy Development: Develop, update, and implement compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Monitoring & Audits: Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Training & Awareness: Provide compliance training to employees, ensuring understanding of regulatory requirements and ethical responsibilities.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate compliance records, prepare regulatory reports, and communicate findings to senior management and regulatory agencies as necessary.
- Risk Management: Identify compliance risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure proactive measures are in place to minimize exposure.
- Liaison with Regulators: Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory bodies, responding to inquiries, investigations, and regulatory filings.
- Ethics & Integrity: Foster a culture of compliance and integrity across all business operations.
About you:
- Has experience within Insurance industry
- Ability to contribute to the Compliance team with a collaborative mindset and demonstrated commitment to excellence
- Ability to collaborate with IT, legal, and business units to implement compliance measures
- Understanding of state and federal insurance regulations related to data handling.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Team-oriented and collaborative mindset

- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle non-compliance issues diplomatically while enforcing company policies
