JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manufacturing Operations Manager will oversee a team responsible for managing contract fabrication, ensuring quality, constructability, and cost-effective production in accordance with Anguil engineering drawings and customer requirements. This role is accountable for the production phase of custom capital equipment projects, driving operational efficiency, developing and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and implementing best practices in manufacturing.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Manufacturing Operations Manager will be expected to perform:
- Lead, coach, and develop the work of the team
- Develop, monitor, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive efficiency and identify areas of improvement
- Identify and execute documentable and sustainable cost savings opportunities with our fabrication shops in all phases of the production process
- Ensure team and fabrication shops operate in compliance with Anguil Playbooks and Standard Operating Procedures
- Conduct weekly internal production meetings and report status, actions, and risk to project management team
- Develop and track detailed fabrication schedules with team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve fabrication issues as they arise
- Ensure projects are shipped 100% complete to the scope of work
- Evaluate and qualify new fabrication shops and other sub-suppliers, maintaining a robust portfolio of key fabrication partners for the full range of Anguil equipment
- Standardize reporting, organization, management, and quality expectations across Anguil’s network of fabrication shops
- Monitor and maintain company safety policies and procedures
- Participate in Operations strategic planning

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent project management skills
- Advanced problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and numerical aptitude with continuous improvement mindset
- Strong organization, time management, and written/verbal communication skills
- Thorough understanding of project cost estimating and budgeting processes for labor, materials and sub-contractors
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical fabrication drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), and electrical schematics
- Capacity to lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Sheet metal fabrication and shop floor experience in capital equipment a plus
- Specialty material (stainless steels and corrosion resistant alloys) experience
- Proficient with ERP systems and Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work flexible and irregular hours from time to time due to customer needs or critical deadlines
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
- Five (5) years relevant work experience in custom capital equipment
- Prior experience managing a team
- Preferred
- Formal continuous improvement training
