Tutor

Angwin Academy is a local small business dedicated to educationally supporting the students and families of Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand. We offer 1 to 1 tutoring, small group instruction and many additional educational services. We pride ourselves on a family like environment and welcome children of all levels and abilities. We are currently seeking qualified and dynamic Math tutors who can teach any of the following subjects:

Pre Algebra

Algebra I & II

Geometry

Probability and Statistics

Calculus

SAT/ACT Prep

College Level Mathematics

All tutoring sessions will take place in our centrally located office. Ideal candidates will have experience in Math, be reliable and dependable, flexible, and have a love of learning and education.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in Math to students of various skill levels.
• Utilize learning technology to facilitate engaging and effective teaching methods.
• Assess student progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed.
• Create a positive learning environment.
• Work with parents and school teachers to develop successful plans for students.
• Work in conjunction with other tutors at Angwin Academy.
• Identify strengths and areas for growth in each student.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tutoring, particularly in Math at higher levels
• Ability to tailor sessions to unique learning styles of the students
• Proficiency in learning technology to enhance educational delivery
• Ability to engage with students
• Experience working with diverse age groups
• Knowledge of advanced mathematical concepts, including Calculus and Geometry

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
