ROLE SUMMARY:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the execution of short-term production and distribution plans across one brewery and one distribution center, supporting approximately 200,000 barrels of weekly production. This role ensures alignment between brewery efficiencies and wholesaler supply by managing 8–10 production lines and leading the regional logistics team to meet service level targets, maintain optimal floor inventory, and prevent product coverages. This role plays a critical part in achieving company financial goals by overseeing 2 million barrels in weekly shipments and driving executional excellence through the implementation of process improvements and operational initiatives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for executing production and distribution plans for weeks 0 through 1 at 1 brewery and 1 DC with ~ 200k barrels of production per week (LPA target met).
- Ensure plans for 8-10 production lines per region are managed to align brewery efficiencies and wholesaler supply.
- Responsible for leading the regional team to ensure brewery service levels are achieved (direct loading, smooth load schedule, acceptable floor inventory, and near-overage product).
- Development of corrective action plans for unplanned events, product holds, recalls, return material expediting, damaged product, special events, same-day beer coordination & new product rollouts.
- Manage & communicate processes and execution plans to the region team that ensures positive business results. 2,000,000 barrels weekly shipments tied to company financial goals.
- Analyze and adjust network inbound and outbound requirements to ensure proper product flow. Ensure safe inventories, maximize least cost producers, and keep dump beer at or below budgeted levels. Manage outbound volumes to ensure wholesalers maintain min/max inventory levels and maximize truck utilization.
- Manage push system technology to assure least cost solutions while maintaining acceptable supply levels. Accountable for wholesaler service levels achieved (wholesaler supply, avoid wholesaler stock outs, smooth unload schedule, and AdHoc request for assistance). Primary wholesaler contact.
- Minimize the use of high-cost transportation providers by analyzing wholesalers' supply for opportunities to modify or eliminate shipment. Monitor carrier performance in support of customer service, product quality & cost.
- Responsible for implementation of initiatives and assure desired results are achieved.
- Identify and implement process improvements that result in improved execution.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Business or IT.
- 3-5 years of logistics experience
- 1-2 years Product Supply system experience
- Prior brewery experience a plus
- Understanding of statistical analysis
- Leadership skills, ability to lead change
