Key Responsibilities
- IT Governance & Strategic Alignment
- Establish and oversee IT governance frameworks and policies that integrate IT with core business processes and align with organizational objectives
- Drive the implementation of enterprise-wide strategies, ensuring that IT investments and initiatives support business goals
- Enterprise Architecture Development & Standards
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture leads to design and maintain a comprehensive framework covering business, information, application, and technology architectures
- Develop and enforce architecture standards and guidelines to ensure consistency, interoperability, and compliance with federal IT regulations
- Technology Evaluation & Innovation
- Assess emerging technologies and their potential impact on the enterprise architecture
- Recommend strategic adoption of innovative solutions to enhance IT performance and support organizational growth
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT architecture and governance, ensuring that security and compliance requirements (including CPIC and TBM) are met
- Provide executive oversight on risk management initiatives and implement transformative solutions to address gaps
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders—including federal agencies and the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO)—to gather requirements and refine IT investment requests
- Mentor team members and facilitate cross-functional collaboration to support organizational change initiatives and process reengineering
- Performance Measurement & Reporting
- Define key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of IT governance and enterprise architecture initiatives
- Deliver clear, data-driven reports and dashboards to senior leadership to support informed decision-making and continuous process improvement
- Project & Process Management
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans ensuring the timely and successful delivery of IT governance initiatives
- Document governance processes and workflows, assist with Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) processes, and support ongoing federal IT governance and service management activities
- Provide guidance on federal IT reporting requirements and support the preparation of portfolio summaries and related documentation
- Research technical and management aspects of potential IT strategic initiatives to aid in policy evaluation and process improvements
- Develop white papers, guides, decision papers, and other materials to support operational enhancements and IT customer service initiatives
- Minimum of 7 years in Federal IT governance, program management, strategic planning, or enterprise operations
- Proven ability to manage and enhance governance frameworks, align IT initiatives with business strategy, and implement process improvements
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale change initiatives, optimizing performance, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
- Expertise in federal IT governance policies, compliance, and stakeholder engagement
- Familiarity with federal IT reporting frameworks, including CPIC and TBM
- Experience working with dashboards and reporting tools to provide actionable insights
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
