As a Camp Counselor at Animal Adventures, you will play a vital role in creating an engaging and educational environment for children. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about animals and education, as you will help facilitate hands-on learning experiences while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all campers.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with campers during various activities related to animal education.
- Assist in planning and implementing educational programs that involve hands-on interaction with animals.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers during activities.
- Provide guidance and support to campers in developing their skills and knowledge about animals.
- Foster a positive camp environment that encourages curiosity and respect for wildlife.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a fun and enriching camp experience.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting.
- Strong background in early childhood education or childcare preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults alike.
- First aid certification is highly desirable.

*Hours are 8am to 12:30pm Mon-Fri for 8 weeks. We may offer extended hours for campers base don parents needs. Additional hours could be available to work at the zoo after camp, weekends, or at other locations.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
