Animal Cancer Care Specialists in Westford, MA is seeking a motivated Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are a small, privately owned medical oncology practice. Our two medical oncologists have been providing care to pets in the area for over 15 years. Our primary focus is delivering chemotherapy to pets with cancer. Position: Full-time Veterinary Technician (4 full days), Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, 8am-6pm, occasional Wednesdays with notice
Part time would be 2-3 days Tues, Thurs, Fri
Qualifications: 2 years, CVT a plus but all qualified applicants considered, oncology experience a plus but not necessary, we will train the right candidate

Skills: Strong IV catheter placement and phlebotomy skills, MUST be proficient at placing IV catheters; accurate drug dispensing and ability to calculate drug doses; ability to obtain excellent radiographs; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability and desire to build strong rapport with clients; proficient with computers.
Interests: Interest in learning about veterinary oncology and using this knowledge to instruct and educate clients.
Job Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to intake and discharge of patients for chemotherapy appointments; administration of chemotherapy; instruct clients regarding treatments given and drugs dispensed; take radiographs; obtain and process laboratory samples; technical support for doctor; assist with appointments and phone calls; client education.
