Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our team. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, medications, and pet care.
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Assist veterinary staff with medication administration and animal handling as needed.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and their pets.
- Support veterinary staff with animal restraint during examinations or treatments/vaccines when necessary.
- Assist the doctor in exams, dental procedures, and surgery when needed.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a veterinary clinic or similar environment is required.
- Knowledge of animal handling techniques is required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing records and appointments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor during busy periods.
