Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff.
- Maintain cleanliness in kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Assist with pet bathing, grooming, and basic training as needed.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals' needs and well-being.
- Support veterinary technicians during examinations or treatments as required.
- Handle animals safely and compassionately during all interactions.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both pets and staff.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care or related fields such as veterinary assistance, pet sitting, or dog training is preferred.
- Strong understanding of animal behavior and handling techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with pet owners.
- Experience in kennel operations or pet grooming is a plus but not mandatory.
