Animal Emergency Hospital is rapidly growing and seeking full-time Veterinary Assistants and Credentialed Technicians. If you are a skilled assistant or Credentialed Technician looking to take your skills to the next level in emergency then Animal Emergency Hospital wants to hear from you. This hospital is a fast-paced Emergency Hospital that is dedicated to the care of our patients and their families. This Veterinary Assistant should understand patient care and plans of treatments, can do critical thinking and offer exceptional patient care abilities.

Our ideal candidate has a strong focus on exceptional patient care with an understanding of the importance of client communication. We are looking for someone who is team-oriented, organized, and willing to learn new skills and able to help out in all areas of the hospital when needed. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing, and we encourage our staff to do the same. Shift Differential Pay: (discussed more on interview)

Holiday Pay

Hours of operation:

Monday - Thursday 10:00 am - 8:00 pm

Friday/Saturday/Sunday 8 am - Midnight

Requirements

• It will be mandatory to pick up a few overnight shifts.
• 1-2 years of veterinary experience
• Ability to confidently place IV catheters
• Must be able to perform jugular blood draws
• Avimark software knowledge preferred, but not required
• Ability to work well with others, team player
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Idexx and Heska lab equipment knowledge preferred, not required
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Understands the importance of excellent communication skills
• Able to multi-task
• Comfortable working under pressure professionally and confidently
