The Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota (AERC-MN) is looking for a Full-Time Front Desk Point to add to our team. If you are a services professional that cares intensely about everything you do, are present, and are respectful of people's differences, this position is for you!
Role Title: Front Desk Point
Department: Services
Shift: Days (7:00 am - 5:00 pm)
- Every other weekend required
- No more than four holidays per year required
Schedule: All shifts are scheduled at Oakdale ("OD"). This is a two-week rotation, working every other weekend - 70 hours biweekly.
The primary function of the Front Desk Point in the Services Department is to provide exceptional care of both patients and clients by service as an extension of the veterinarian. Additionally, the Front Desk Point is expected to promote professional growth through education and learning opportunities. This position will report directly to the Services Support Team Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years client service experience required
- Highschool Diploma or GED required
- Veterinary experience in an ER/Specialty hospital is strongly preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills
Job Highlights:
- Manage same-day callouts and movement of Front Desk support staff at all locations
- Assist in finding coverage for CSR, SCSR, and Triage schedule gaps.
- Prioritize and direct workflow for the Front Desk while working alongside the ECC and Specialty Charge Technician(s)
- Explain and troubleshoot financial constraints and payment options with clients and team members
- Provide feedback, training, and coaching to team members
- Advocate for team members to take their allotted breaks
- Assist in hospital tours for interviews and guests
- Perform peer reviews for wage/merit increases as assigned
