Senior Director of Accounting and Finance

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team.
- Contribute to the development of long-term financial plans.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Accounting Operations
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain strong internal controls and compliance standards.
Treasury Management
- Manage cash flow, investments, and debt financing.
- Develop and maintain banking relationships.
- Mitigate financial risks through proactive treasury strategies.
Tax Compliance
- Oversee all tax compliance activities, including federal, state, and local filings.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors as needed.
Risk Management
- Identify and assess financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee insurance programs to protect company assets.
Team Leadership & Development
- Build and lead a high-performing accounting and finance team.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to team members.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and laws.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting.
System Implementation & Improvement
- Evaluate and implement financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Investor Relations (if applicable)
- Support investor relations activities, including preparing financial presentations and addressing investor inquiries.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a management role.

- Proven track record of success in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.

- Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.

- Experience in treasury management, tax compliance, and risk management.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to think strategically and execute effectively.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Required in e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods; experience in nutritional supplements preferred.

- Familiarity with Acumatica preferred.
- Must be based in Boise, ID, or willing to relocate; in-office work required.
- Occasional travel required for meetings, audits, and company site visits.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position depends on experience. The total compensation package may include performance bonuses, benefits, and other applicable incentives.
