Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Hospital Manager to oversee the daily operations of our veterinary facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that we provide high-quality care to our patients while maintaining a positive work environment for our staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the veterinary hospital, ensuring efficient workflow and exceptional client service.
- Supervise and support veterinary staff, including veterinarians, technicians, and administrative personnel.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve hospital efficiency and enhance patient care.
- Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, billing, and payroll, to ensure the financial health of the practice.
- Manage inventory and purchase supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Foster effective communication between staff, clients, and vendors, resolving any issues that may arise.
- Develop and manage marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, veterinary standards, and hospital protocols. This includes maintaining compliance with our AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accreditation status.
- Train and mentor staff, providing opportunities for professional development.
- Handle client inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Animal Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role within a veterinary or healthcare environment. Management experience outside the veterinary or healthcare environment will be considered for the right candidate.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary practices and procedures is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in veterinary management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.
