Job Description:
Animal Medical Center of Rome is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our dedicated team. Our clinic is committed to providing high-quality veterinary care to our patients, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform diagnostic tests, including blood work, radiography, and urinalysis.
- Monitor anesthesia and recover patients post-surgery.
- Provide excellent patient care, including handling and restraining animals safely and humanely.
- Client education on pet healthcare, nutrition, and preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Assist in the care and cleaning of the clinic, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.
- Stay current with veterinary technology and procedures through continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Valid state license as a Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/NAVTA).
- Successful completion of an accredited veterinary technician program.
- Previous veterinary experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
