Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Surgical Veterinary Technician at Animal Medical Center of Seattle in Shoreline, WA. The Surgical Veterinary Technician will be responsible for assisting veterinarians during surgeries, monitoring anesthesia, preparing surgical equipment, maintaining surgical areas, and providing post-operative care. The role will also involve managing surgical supplies, assisting with patient recovery, and maintaining accurate medical records.
What We’re Looking For:
- Licensed Veterinary Technicians: Must be currently licensed or eligible to become licensed in Washington State. We encourage technicians with VTS credentials or those interested in pursuing VTS certification to apply!
- Experienced Professionals: A minimum of 2 years in a veterinary hospital setting is required. While experience in specialty medicine is preferred, it’s not mandatory.
- Surgical Expertise: Strong background in anesthesia, surgical preparation, maintaining sterile technique, and handling surgical instrumentation is highly valued.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and stand for extended periods. Must be able to lift patients and inventory items up to 40 pounds.
