Fast-paced, state-of-the-art, 24-7 veterinary hospital in Hattiesburg, MS, is seeking an outgoing, highly motivated referral coordinator with exceptional people skills to join our veterinary team. As the oldest veterinary practice in Hattiesburg, you will be representing a well-established veterinary practice committed to excellence.
WHAT ARE THE DUTIES OF A REFERRAL COORDINATOR?
As a referral coordinator you will continue to establish excellence in pet healthcare by:
- Answer phone calls from referring veterinary clinics
- Directing phone calls to proper team members and ensuring messages taken are followed through
- Accurate documentation
- Learn and utilize Cornerstone veterinary software
- Work closely and respectfully with other team members in the veterinary practice to ensure a referral experience
- Educate referring veterinarians and referral clients about Animal Medical Center services and products according to the standards of Animal Medical Center
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?
At Animal Medical Center, we strive to exceed our referral veterinarian's expectations by providing excellent service. Skills you would need for this position are:
- Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills, time management skills, and an ability to ensure that referrals are processed in a timely manner
- Able to work collaboratively with multiple veterinary professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline
- Follow up on pending referrals
- Ensure that referrals are processed effectively through the rVetlink veterinary portal
- Highly organized and able to prioritize work effectively
- Ability to problem solve
- Great attention to detail and customer service skills
- Veterinary experience is required
WHAT OTHER THINGS DO I NEED TO KNOW?
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
- Hourly pay is commensurate with experience
- The work schedule is Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Dependability and being flexible is essential
