Duties:
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with exams, vaccinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Provide excellent patient care by maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for animals, administering medications as directed, and performing basic laboratory tests.
- Assist with animal husbandry duties such as cleaning kennels and cages, feeding animals, and monitoring their health and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatments.
- Perform aseptic techniques, including catheterization, as needed.
- Keep the clinic area clean and organized, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology.
- Experience with animal care and husbandry practices.
- Ability to perform aseptic techniques, including catheterization.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of veterinary practices and procedures.
