Job Description:

As a Veterinary Receptionist and Assistant at Animal Medical Center, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets. You will play a crucial role in providing a positive experience while ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.

Responsibilities:

• Client Interaction: Greet clients and their pets warmly, providing excellent customer service both in person and over the phone.
• Appointment Management: Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments efficiently, ensuring effective use of the veterinarian’s time.
• Patient Records: Maintain accurate patient records and facilitate the timely entry of information into the clinic’s management system.
• Financial Transactions: Process billing, payments and provide estimates for services, while discussing financial options with clients when necessary.
• Assistance in Procedures: Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Animal Care: Provide basic care and handling of animals, ensuring their comfort and safety during their visit.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials and medications are well stocked.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with pet owners about their animals’ health, medical recommendations, and follow-up care.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in veterinary technology is a plus.
• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, animal care facility, or customer service role preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for animal care.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
