What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician / Assistant position at Animal Medical Center?
Animal Medical Center of Madisonville Inc., is seeking a Veterinary Assistant / Technician to join our 3-doctor practice in Madisonville, Kentucky.
In this position you will be supporting our Doctor team by creating a positive, low-stress experience for our clients and patients.
Vet Tech License is not required, but must be proficient in client education, animal handling and restraint, collection of blood, urine and fecal samples, performing radiographs, placing IV catheters, surgical prep and recovery, monitoring of anesthesia, and performing dental prophylaxis.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who is friendly, people-oriented, outgoing, has excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and have a passion for working in veterinary medicine.
Must be a motivated self-starter who is able to take direction and work with minimal supervision. Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Dependable attendance and transportation is required.

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
