The Animal Rescue League of Boston’s Humane Law Enforcement Department has served and protected the animals and people of Massachusetts since 1934. Humane Law Enforcement follows a community-based philosophy and works closely with our field services team. Applicants for the Law Enforcement Officer position must have graduated from a full time MPTC or MPTC-approved police academy and must be currently certified by the Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission.

What you will do:
Use your skills to make a difference by becoming a part of one of the best and oldest animal welfare organizations! Here’s how:
- Respond to and investigate complains of animal abuse and/or neglect, gather information, and bring charges where evidence so indicates;
- Serve summonses, warrants, subpoenas, notices of quarantine, and other related documents;
- Perform inspection duties in places where animals are housed, sold, or used for commercial purposes, including for quarantine;
- Help us continue to serve the animals and people of Massachusetts as one of the region's leading animal welfare organizations!
