Our Veterinary Assistants are immersed in a learning environment where they can begin establishing a foundation of skill sets as they move up the technician ladder. Our assistants assume responsibility for all general husbandry and oversee patient care to support our licensed staff. Through training and oversight with our training team, assistants will work through levels of skills sets to be able to handle and provide care for our patients. Animal Specialty Center is currently undergoing substantial growth and is looking for reliable, dedicated and highly motivated veterinary assistants to join our fast-paced, 24-hour emergency and intensive care team. Our veterinary assistants cover multiple shifts in our busy Emergency room and ICU including triage, in-hospital care, out-patient care, and overnight specialty patient care. Our assistants also gain knowledge in a variety of specialty concentrations as we boast a cross training/cross schedule approach. Assistants are not limited to ER and ICU and will also get an opportunity to support in neurology, rehabilitation, dermatology, internal medicine and oncology. Experience in veterinary medicine is preferred.
