Job Description : HR Generalist
Location : Oakland, CA
Overview :
This role is responsible for managing a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee onboarding, benefits administration, performance evaluations, employee relations, policy enforcement, and ensuring compliance with employment laws, essentially acting as the primary point of contact for employees regarding HR matters across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
PEO Relations
Communicating employee needs and concerns
Work with PEO provider on benefits administration and compliance
Onboarding and Orientation
Welcoming new employees
Providing company information
Facilitating training on policies and procedures
Compensation and Payroll
Processing payroll
Managing salary adjustments,
Ensuring accurate pay calculations
Employee Relations
Addressing employee concerns
Mediating conflicts
Investigating complaints
Upholding company policies
Performance Management
Manage performance review process
Addressing performance issues
Compliance Management
Ensuring adherence to regulations
Maintain corporate handbook and policies
Maintaining employee records
Recruitment and Hiring
Posting job openings
Screening resumes
Managing the hiring process
Required skills :
Strong communication skills - Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels, both verbally and in writing

Education and experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related
6-10 Years relevant HR experience, depending on the company size and complexity.
Professional certifications like PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) desired
Compensation :
Annual salary range $ 90,000 - $100,000
