SUMMARY:
The Executive Assistant provides executive level support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Board of Directors, and designees. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for the Executive Office providing administrative support, representation, event planning, and project management. The Executive assistant interfaces with entities and organizations as requested, organizes, coordinates, and oversees special projects. The Executive Assistant is innovative, creative, mission focused, results driven and community oriented.

SUMMARY: This position is an advocate for people, and provides person-centered, recovery focused, strengths-based, trauma- informed mental health services, including counseling in a residential setting. The Mental Health Specialist 2 (MHS 2) works to support people in recovery from serious mental illness. The MHS2 provides direct service (one to one and small group sessions) to enhance coping skills, support activities of daily living, and access the community. The MHS2 utilizes creativity to provide individual and evidence-based interventions to adults with mental illness. In this position, you have the flexibility to engage in activities with individuals like walks, art projects, cooking, and shopping.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Support people in skill development and maintenance of mental health according to individual needs and goals.
Document service/progress notes using an electronic record keeping system and complete recordkeeping on a weekly basis. Meet all performance targets and evaluate member’s progress using an electronic records system.
Facilitate medication support and document all related activities in accordance with related Medication Policies and Procedures using the Electronic Medication Administration Record.
Encourage medical health and support residents with medical appointments, document follow up from doctor.
Respond to medical and behavioral / psychiatric crisis in accordance with agency policy and procedure. This includes all related documentation.
Assist members with all activities of daily living, grooming, and hygiene as needed. Support a healthy environment by motivating members to keep housing up to agency cleanliness and sanitary standards.
Provide emergency assistance/program coverage during scheduled hours, including at other MH sites as required. Maintain flexibility while performing duties. This may include the need to travel off-site or to rearrange the scheduling of breaks and lunch to meet the immediate needs of the program.
Model and consistently practice support, interacting with members to develop mutually responsible relationships, avoiding the “helper/helpee” dynamic. Utilize structures for the inclusion of member voice into events planning, as well as day-to-day activities.
Actively participate in supervision and training for accreditation and Rule 132 / Rule 140 requirements.
Work collaboratively as a team with other staff to provide required services for members. Promote consumer driven, mental health services and enhance the abilities of members to make choices.
Maintain electronic case files according to agency / regulatory standards.
Communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders. Address concerns and issues related to members and program services. Share information concerning members with other employees as relevant within confidentiality rules.
Complete case management tasks with members, including benefit eligibility and transportation needs. Identify and make referrals to community resources and other programs / services of Anixter Center.
Adhere to all agency safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a professional demeanor in both manner and attire as a representative of the agency in conducting all activities, services, and instructions.
Complete all competency-based training as required.
Conduct and monitor safety drills as needed per Anixter policies.
REQUIREMENTS:
Rehabilitation Service Associate (RSA) as defined by DHS DMH Rule 132, Mental Health Professional (MHP) preferred.
6 months experience working with people who have a diagnosis of mental illness preferred.
Computer proficiency required mastery and use of electronic healthcare records required. Daily use of a computer to document services is required.
Professional writing skills for documentation of services per regulations.
A valid Driver’s license and ability to drive the agency vehicle is required. Meet agency insurance requirements.
