We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Host/Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to greet guests warmly, manage reservations, and ensure a smooth flow of service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times to guests.
- Assist in coordinating the flow of guests to ensure timely service.
- Provide information about menu items and answer any questions guests may have.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
Skills
- Strong guest relations skills to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- Experience in food service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and helping others.
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
- Previous experience in hotel or restaurant guest services is advantageous.
