What are the responsibilities and job description for the Control Systems Engineer position at Anka Space?
We are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design, develop, and implement flight control algorithms for managing thrust vector control (TVC), flight stability, and landing precision. The ideal candidate has experience in aerospace control systems, sensor fusion, and real-time embedded systems.
Responsibilities
- Thrust Vector Control (TVC) Design: Develop gimbal control algorithms for real-time engine adjustments.
- Flight Stability & Attitude Control: Implement guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems for precise maneuvering.
- Sensor Fusion: Integrate IMU, GPS, barometric sensors, and telemetry systems for accurate state estimation.
- PID & Model Predictive Control: Design closed-loop control systems for stable hover, landing, and recovery.
- Real-Time Software Implementation: Program low-latency control algorithms on microcontrollers (STM32, Raspberry Pi, or custom flight computers).
- Testing & Validation: Simulate control behavior using MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or ROS, then conduct real-world tests.
- Collaboration with Propulsion & Avionics Teams: Ensure smooth integration of control systems with engine dynamics, actuators, and landing gear.
Qualifications
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- Experience designing aerospace control systems (GNC, TVC, flight stability).
- Strong background in control theory (PID, LQR, Kalman Filters, Model Predictive Control).
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or C for control system simulations.
- Experience working with embedded systems (STM32, Raspberry Pi, FPGA-based flight
