Responsibilities:
1. Fault Diagnosis & Localization
- Responsible for functionality testing and failure analysis of returned products (RMA) in the U.S. market.
- Utilize precision instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, Bluetooth tester, microscope, etc.) and fault detection tools, along with software apps, to reproduce failures and perform preliminary component-level failure localization.
- Conduct product disassembly and physical diagnostics (e.g., solder joint inspection, component stress testing) to identify root causes of failure (such as component aging, design defects, or environmental stress anomalies)
2. Cross-Team Technical Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D and quality teams in China, providing failure analysis data support to drive production improvements, design enhancements, and process optimizations.
- Participate in failure analysis technical meetings between China and the U.S., ensuring a clear and structured problem transmission process.
3. Knowledge Management & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the internal knowledge base by producing standardized failure analysis reports, documenting key failure modes and root causes.
- Maintain and refine the failure analysis knowledge database, ensuring continuous improvement in failure characteristics identification and corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred.
- Candidates with internship experience in electronic product failure analysis are preferred.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, load tester, etc.).
- Familiarity with basic soldering techniques and assembly/disassembly of electronic products.
- Ability to follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and use diagnostic apps and tools to set up failure analysis environments and execute test plans.
- Ability to apply 5Why or FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) methodologies for troubleshooting.
- Comfortable working across time zones and participating in virtual meetings with the team based in China (about 2 times per week).

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description
The salary range for this position is between $69,000 to $80,000.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/ incentives/ restricted stock units.
