Position Summary: The Capital Markets intern will be working closely with multiple stakeholders in evaluating and recommending Strategic Alternatives, including M&A, Special Situations Financing, Liability Management, and Restructuring.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day transaction execution under direction of Managing Directors
- Develop fully integrated financial models
- Create both pitch and transaction marketing documents
- Prepare industry and client research and bespoke analysis
- Coordinate and perform business due diligence and execute M&A and restructuring transactions
- Conduct comprehensive valuation exercises of companies and business units
- Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors
- Support new business and marketing initiatives as appropriate
- Prepare client presentations, draft offering memoranda, prepare internal committee memoranda, prepare management and board presentations and other materials for senior bankers as required
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, both verbal and written
- Elevated attention to detail and consistency in work product
- High degree of maturity, integrity, demonstrated leadership skills and work ethic
- Self-starting team player who excels in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, challenging work environment
- Interest in obtaining SIE 7, 79, 63 licenses in the future.
