- Monitors work performance in designated areas
- Manages patient flow
- Interacts with radiologists and other referring physicians
- Monitors supply inventory and orders supplies when needed
- Requests accessories and other large items through department manager / director
- Evaluates cost containment measures
- Schedules all personnel in responsible areas
- Troubleshoots equipment for responsible area
- Maintains organization and cleanliness of all assigned areas
- Demonstrates new equipment
- Maintains and updates procedure manual
- Performs ultrasound procedures on patients of every age as necessary
- Participates in the interview process as required
- Assists with budget preparation as neededQUALIFICATIONSGraduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography ProgramCurrent ARRT certification and / or Medical Sonography with registry eligibility. RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) requiredThree to five years’ experience in Medical Sonography. Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and produce quality images. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization.Ability to supervise and evaluate
