What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Pharmacy Tech position at AnMed?
SUMMARY OF POSITION PURPOSE
The Certified Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacy Manager, and/or the Pharmacist with their daily and periodic functions. Receive phone calls and inquiries from healthcare providers and respond to meet their needs as appropriate. Perform all duties under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist. The daily functions include preparing, distributing, delivering, and packaging pharmaceutical products to ensure the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to patients of all ages at AnMed Health Cannon.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to adequately perform this job. However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.
- Education and formal training: High school diploma or GED equivalence.
- South Carolina Board of Pharmacy Certified Pharmacy Technician required.
C. Work experience: Previous employment in a hospital-related position preferred.
