What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Nurse - Resource Team (Tier 3) position at AnMed?
The ED Resource team RN works within any of the nursing units within either Medical/Surgical, Critical Care/Telemetry, or Emergency Services as a fill in for call offs or to flex staff for increased census. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient needs utilizing nursing process. Actively participates in providing patient care as defined by multidisciplinary plan of care. Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients from pediatric to geriatric populations with diverse cultural backgrounds.
Tier 3 - RN Base Rate $6.00/ hr. Must be able to work 1 shift per week, one weekend per month. Shifts can be 8 or 12 hours.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
- 2 years of emergency care experience required
- Emergency and Critical Care experience preferred
- BSN preferred, ADN candidates must be enrolled in BSN program within 18 months of hire date. BSN required within 4 years from date of hire.
- Successful completion of BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within one (1) year from date of hire.
- TNCC or BTLS certifications within one (1) year from date of hire
- Continues to learn and grow professionally through accepting assignments with differing patient load and complexity, clinical development programs, and involvement in professional organization.
ADN candidates must be enrolled in a BSN program within 18 months from date of hire and are required to obtain BSN within four (4) years of date of hire. For current AnMed Health Associate Degree Nurses (ADN) who were hired as RNs prior to January 1, 2013, and already working as an acute care Staff Nurse as of that date, the requirement to obtain BSN within four (4) years will be waived.
