Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required by company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules.
- Adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Assist in the training of new drivers on company procedures and safety practices.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving or related roles within the logistics industry.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is essential.
- Experience with refrigerated trailers or flatbeds is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
