SALARY: $65.43/hr
REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Elementary Education

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Possess a Master's Degree from an accredited institution
Demonstrate successful elementary teaching experience and administration of early childhood instruction
Must hold a valid school administratorcertificate or be enrolled in a program leading to certification as a school administrator not later than six months after beginning employment as required by the Michigan Department of Education
Experience with curriculum development, instructional improvement and student assessment
Experience working with a diverse community
Experience in providing leadership to school improvement teams in planning and implementing school improvement efforts
Administrator SIOP Training preferred
Administrators with experience with AAPS coaching model preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparatory work with curriculum coordinators and specialists (literacy/math/EL/OSE)

Develop and communicate materials for parents, district staff/administrators and Summer School employees
Coordinate student enrollment processes and respond to parent inquiries
Interview, supervise and evaluate Summer School staff with input from level administrator and coordinators
Establish and coordinate professional development sequence prior to start of Summer School program
Coordinate Evening Family Event during the Summer School period
Coordinate/facilitate a 1-hour Parent Orientation for elementary program
Manage all budgetary & accounting responsibilities and maintain a budget spreadsheet and monitor expenditures
Order all necessary supplies and materials
Close out all Summer School purchase orders and personnel action forms at the conclusion of the program
Coordinate all aspects of transportation, including bus routing
Coordinate facility readiness and use
Monitor attendance, budget expenditures, program implementation and required developmental activities Assign staff to appropriate teaching placements Monitor student behavior consistent with Rights and Responsibilities guidelines for elementary students
Work with curriculum coordinators to coordinate collaboration with U of M graduate programs.
Work closely with SISS administrators to integrate students with IEPs and co-teaching model Regular and reliable attendance
Other duties as assigned
