    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    High school graduate plus additional training. Experience with MAC and/or PC computers and Powerschool web-based program. Experience with word processing, spreadsheets and database software. Ability to use and maintain office machines.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Meet and greet students daily.
    • Answers telephones, responds to routine questions, sets appointments or routes calls to appropriate persons.
    • Assist with mailings.
    • Process enrollments and changes into student database.
    • Distribute student attendance information to staff.
    • Verify absences by contacting parent.
    • Administer care to students when ill, contact parents, etc.
    • Compile state mandated immunization records.
    • Input & print progress reports and grades.
    • Receives visitors, new parents, and students; answering questions; resolving student concerns.
    • Handle monies for student fundraising
    • Maintain and update school calendar.
    • Prepare various reports.
    • Maintain school/student records.
    • Assist with count day preparation.
    • Coordinate registration process.
    • Back up Support for counselors.
    • Regular and reliable attendance.
    • Other duties may be assigned.
    • This is a full time position, requiring regular reliable and predictable attendance on site to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.



    Language Skills
    • Read, write, and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence, and memos
    • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to staff, parents, students, and administrators
    • Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
    • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
    • Ability to speak effectively before groups of students, staff, and parents

    Mathematical Skills
    • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals

    Reasoning Ability
    • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form
    • Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

    Other Skills & Abilities
    • Work with parents and children of diverse cultural backgrounds
    • Develop effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community
    • Perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and talk or hear and sometimes walk and sit. Occasionally the employee will bend or twist at the neck more than the average person. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 50 lbs such as boxes of books and AV carts.
    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with public and staff.
