We are seeking a Process Engineering Intern in Ann Arbor, Michigan that will support lithium-ion cell and battery pack production by performing technical and Engineering support tasks. The intern will be assigned a project and mentored by a senior staff member this summer from approximately May to August.

Education: Interns are generally college students pursuing STEM degree programs. There are no specific restrictions on major, graduation year, or progress.
Preferred experience: Battery (or related) industry exposure or some coursework including battery science/technology is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
- Support troubleshooting of automated production assembly equipment
- Work with manufacturing engineering to implement approved process changes
- Assist in process optimization studies
- Write and help maintain operator work instructions
- Ensure daily 5S of work area (maintain clean and organized work areas)
- Follow all company policies regarding safety, quality, and conduct
- Physical presence on the job is essential and necessary
- Other duties as assigned by management

- Must be comfortable supporting US military-funded work and building products for US military testing and use.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift 40 pound loads several times per day
- Ability to work in dry room / clean room environment (0 to 2% relative humidity)
