They assess new problems, interrogate old ones, and lead their team in providing excellent technical solutions to some of DocNetwork’s hardest problems.
At DocNetwork, Technical Lead Managers are our leading developers. They use their experience and expertise to inform system architecture and project planning. They also lead people, working with teams which vary in size based on the needs of a project. They’re responsible for their team’s work on a project, but also for the professional growth of the developers doing that work.

- Lead a team of developers to successfully achieve project objectives through effective project management and execution.
- Help other leaders identify and set our department’s collaborative and technical standards
- Set clear expectations for direct reports around individual responsibilities and team goals, holding them accountable for meeting deliverables. Regularly monitor progress (through regular check-ins and biannual 1:1s) to share feedback on performance and provide support for goals
- Provide coaching and development support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth to enhance individual and team performance
- Collaborate with the Product Team to conduct early research and design for projects
- Lead software architecture decision-making in conjunction with other technical leads
- Be a fully active and contributing developer on assigned team
- Recognize and respond to any blockers raised by the team during sprints
- Write clean, well-documented, well-tested, reusable code
- Communicate project health and status to stakeholders
- Expert technical proficiency with JavaScript, PostgreSQL, and web frontend implementation
- Familiarity with AWS and a web frontend framework like React or Vue.js
- Proven leadership skills with experience leading projects and/or managing people
- Background in software architectural design
- Skilled active listener who knows when to ask questions and when to provide guidance
- Appreciate and recognize the strength of diverse perspectives and build connections across the team and company
- Commitment to empowering teammates and supporting the professional development of others
- Previous experience with technological risk assessment
- Strong familiarity with agile methodologies (lower case “a” intended)
- Experience deploying SaaS solutions using cloud-based platforms.
