Job Description
General Summary:
Under the direction of the Manager of Supply Chain Optimization, the Supply Chain Optimization Coordinator is responsible for providing assistance in improving performance across Lurie Children’s supply chain network. This includes assisting with projects related to supply chain initiatives including par room maintenance, item conversions, new supply room implementations, supply audits, relabeling exercises, etc. The Coordinator may also step in as a backup for supply chain operations functions related to central supply, procedural and receiving as needed. The Supply Chain Optimization Coordinator requires basic analytical understanding to interpret supply chain data as it relates not only to their assigned projects, but as it relates to Lurie Children’s Supply Chain Operations’ overall growth and success.

$54,600.00-$89,273.60 Salary

The Supply Chain Optimization Coordinator requires basic analytical understanding to interpret supply chain data as it relates not only to their assigned projects, but as it relates to Lurie Children’s Supply Chain Operations’ overall growth and success.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supports & follows the clear objectives of the Supply Chain Vision.
- Responsible for assisting Sr. Analysts with maintaining PAR (inventory) values on assigned items & floors.
- Able to navigate Workday ERP and run reports to analyze relevant data.
- Ensures all supply chain managed areas are standardized in appearance and audited periodically for label, signage and bin issues.
- Comfortable exporting data to excel, performing basic data manipulation & summarizing conclusions to supply chain leaders and colleagues.
- Participate in designated cross-functional supply chain projects such as conversions, open demand analysis, demand planning (DED management), etc.
- Participant in key supply chain projects, able to deliver on assigned tasks & dates.
- Assist with the maintenance of inventory locations including pars and perpetual inventory locations.
- Assist with offsite warehouse (3PL) maintenance including expiration management and inventory bleed down.
- Assist with implementations of new supply chain managed areas both onsite at the main hospital, as well as offsite clinics. Offsite clinic work requires own transportation.
- Maintain operations-related standard operating procedure documentation.
- Act as backup for central supply, procedural and receiving functions as needed.
- Actively engages in professional development to maintain and build upon current skills related to supply chain and analytics.
- Other job functions as assigned.
- Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, or other related fields. A combination of education and/or work experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience is directly related to the functions of the job.
- Minimum of one year experience in a supply chain or logistics related-field. Healthcare experience a plus.
- Experience with use of analytical tools (Excel, Access, etc.)
- Ability to employ problem solving skills effectively.
- Ability to comprehend large data sets and articulate facts clearly and concisely.
- Capable of working in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team and interacting with all levels of the organization. Customer service and interpersonal skills are a must.
- Ability to work independently and apply time management skills effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft windows OS and applications.
- Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality relating to patient health information (PHI) or Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
