What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Ann Storck Center?
The Direct Support Professional is responsible for providing direct care to intellectually and / or developmentally disabled individuals by providing daily assistance in basic life skills such as bathing, feeding, toileting, etc. DSPs assist residents in improving their overall quality of life by encouraging resident participation in daily living skills and social / recreational activities.
The ASC Fort Lauderdale ICF has the following shifts available :
- 1st shift (6 : 00 am to 2 : 30 pm)
- 2nd shift (2 : 00 pm to 10 : 30 pm)
- 3rd Shift (10 : 00 pm - 6 : 30 am)
- five (5) of seven (7) days each week including weekends, on a rotating days-off schedule. Additional positions are available part-time or on-call.
