Job Description:
Are you ready to become a part of our dynamic Float Pool team?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintains a clean and safe environment.
- Assists patients as necessary (e.g. ADL’s, feeding) by providing high quality, compassionate patient care
- Maintains on-going communication with RN and LPN regarding patient status, care given and patient response.
- Documents care, vital signs and all other pertinent information legibly and accurately on patient’s flow sheet/graphic sheet.
- Communicates appropriate information to patients and families.
- Ensures that care information is transmitted in a timely, clear, and accurate form to all patients’ current healthcare providers who need that information to provide care.
- Completes other duties as assigned
Scheduled Hours: 34.5 hr/wk, rotating weekend/holiday coverage.
Work Shift: 11p - 7a
Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Co-Op students considered ahead of HS graduation date.
Licenses, Registrations, Certifications Required:
- Maintains American Heart Association Heart Saver certification or BLS within six weeks of hire.
Experience: Previous PCA or EMT experience, completion of a CNA/LNA course, or completion of fundamentals of nursing clinical rotation for nursing students.
