Are you ready to become a part of our Perioperative dynamic team?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assists with moving, positioning, lifting and prepping patients.
- Assists the surgical team with room turn over.
- Coordinates and participates in the cleaning of the operating rooms ensuring minimal delay between surgical procedures.
- Delivers orders and stocks and maintains supplies for the surgical suite.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment.
- Performs the daily biologicals following standards and documents all pertinent information legibly and accurately.
- Helps the anesthesia department when needed.
- Demonstrates telephone etiquette; must demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.
- Assists Anesthesia with supplies and cleaning of equipment as needed.
- Assists with the orientation and development of new staff members.
- Maintains temperature logbooks.
- Refers safety and patient concerns quickly, accurately and objectively to the charge nurse/Clinical Manager.
- Performs biologic testing of the sterilizers in coordination with the Central Sterile department daily.
- Applies age specific concepts during patient care.
- Demonstrates knowledge in low level disinfection upon cleaning of equipment and turnover methodology of operating room suites.
Scheduled Hours: 40 hr/wk
Work Shift: M - F 6am - 2pm
Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Licenses/Certification Requirements: BLS
