The AGM assists the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, maintaining high standards of food quality, service and cleanliness, and fosters a positive work environment for all team members. The AGM collaborates closely with various departments, vendors, and suppliers to support the implementation of effective strategies that drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations, including decision-making, staffing, inventory management, and quality control
- Supervise and coordinate communication between front of house and heart of house team members
- Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations to ensure the restaurant exceeds standards in food quality, safety, and cleanliness
- Prepare shift schedules
- Process payroll for all restaurant staff as needed
- Calculate future needs in food, kitchenware, and equipment, and place orders, as needed
- Assist in monitoring finances, including sales and expenses for all areas of the restaurant
- Assist in managing store vendors and invoices
- Work with management personnel to set targets and incentives to increase profitability of restaurant
- Consistently review operations and staff to identify any problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement
- Assist General Manager by providing coaching and feedback to staff and assess performance on an ongoing basis
- Support new employees’ proper onboarding (scheduling, trainings, and ordering uniforms)
- Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements to our menus and service
- Perform other related duties as assigned
