Position Purpose
Works with license administrators to schedule for all direct care shifts.
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree and / or training equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).
Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Class C Georgia Driver’s License, proof of vehicle insurance, and meet company policy regarding MVR requirements.
Must meet state requirements regarding a GBI and FBI criminal history record check which requires fingerprinting.
Must undergo and pass a drug screening and screening for Tuberculosis.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The scheduler must work a direct care shift at least once a quarter.
Prepare and maintain monthly and daily direct care schedules for the Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living facilities.
Work with the Training Coordinator to incorporate required and assigned training into the daily work schedule.
Receives and responds to all calls regarding call outs and holiday / vacation requests.
Answer employee calls regarding staffing / scheduling functions.
Tracks and verifies all employee hours, overtime, and call outs daily.
Continuously analyzes facility schedules to review open shifts.
Serves as the “super user” for the Organization’s staff scheduling software.
Ensure shift vacancies caused by Paid Time Off, scheduled training, callouts, family leave or any other reason are staffed.
Perform daily staff analysis of actual hours to evaluate compliance with overtime policies, budgeted ratios, and accurate budgeted allocation.
Assist with reporting staffing hours to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
Review and approve agency timecards and invoices for accuracy
Verify all agency time is reflected in the timekeeping system
Review actual hours to identify shifts not filled.
Review actual hours to ensure proper budget posting.
Ensure that staffing complies with budgeted hours.
Post the daily nursing hours for the Skilled Nursing facility.
Serve as the point of contact for employee callouts.
Verify all employees have the required training and certificates to work assigned shifts.
Work with Human Resources Department to fill vacancies including attending job fairs.
Communicate missing training / certificates to administrators and employees.
Attend all required and assigned trainings.
Performs other duties that may be necessary in the best interest of Annandale at Suwanee, Inc. to meet the personal service needs of the Annandale Villagers
