Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Dietary Manager to join our care community! In this role, you will plan, organize, develop, and assist with overseeing the operations of the dietary department in our assisted living communities as well as the Pleasant Vista Bistro in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations as directed by the Director of Dietary Services.
Responsibilities
- Supervise dietary staff and oversee food service operations for Assisted Living and the Pleasant Vista Bistro.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and facility policies.
- Assist in menu planning, food preparation, and inventory control.
- Maintain sanitation standards and conduct routine inspections.
- Participate in resident nutrition planning and communicate with families as needed.
- Train and support dietary staff, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance resident dining experiences.
- Assist with budget management and cost control for the dietary department.
Requirements
- Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- Certified Dietary Manager (or equivalent) or willingness to complete within three years.
- Experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary guidelines.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist in emergency evacuations if needed.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.81 per hour
