Reports to: Chief Development Marketing Officer
Position Purpose: Lead the coordination, implementation and execution of activities to increase individual, corporate and foundation annual giving. Additionally, this role will work in collaboration with the CDMO to research, identify and write foundation, corporate, government and other grants as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Preferred 5-7 years’ direct fundraising experience.
Knowledge of Salesforce or other donor management software.
Proven track record for achieving new funding sources through various fundraising channels.
Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Class C Georgia Driver’s License, proof of vehicle insurance, and meet company policy regarding MVR requirements.
Must meet state requirements regarding a GBI and FBI criminal history record check which requires fingerprinting.
Must undergo and pass a drug screening and screening for Tuberculosis.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
This position will be a key piece of the Annandale Village Development Team and will work in collaboration with the Chief Development & Marketing Officer and other members of the team to execute large- and small-scale fundraising initiatives. This position will also drive significant revenue through various funding sources including individual, corporate and foundation support. The right candidate will be collaborative in nature, a self-starter, highly organized, process oriented, a skilled writer and communicator and most importantly – a team player!
Develops strategies and implements plans to achieve annual giving goals including donor acquisition, solicitation, retention and stewardship
Oversees all direct mail and email campaigns
Assists the CDMO and other members of Annandale’s development department to implement and support the organization’s Development Plan
Works in collaboration with development team to support fundraising initiatives for special events. The person in this role will cultivate partnerships and alliances that will promote growth and awareness within the community
Works in collaboration with development team regarding stewardship efforts after each event to ensure appropriate acknowledgement and relationship building
Works with CDMO on overall grant strategy for the organization, which could include, but will not be limited to:
o Grant research
o Special project funding and capital opportunities
o Grant reporting
o Develops relationships with Annandale program staff to ensure grant funding opportunities are always on the development team’s forefront
o Attend required meetings with funding sources
o Conduct site visits as needed
Will work in collaboration with CDMO on developing major gift strategies including prospecting, solicitation, developing funding opportunities and encouraging the solicitation of planned gifts
Will develop cultivation strategies for planned giving prospects in alignment with the organization’s Development Plan
Performs other duties that may be in necessary in the best interest of Annandale at Suwanee Inc. to meet the personal service and care needs of the Villagers.
